Pro-Actor Core Essentials 2

Intro to Acting: PACE 2 Certificate takes the acting foundation and technical understanding of how to work on camera, text analysis, scene study and auditioning techniques learned in PACE 1 and builds upon them.

We begin by explaining how to get a talent agent, covering everything that goes into a professional package when seeking representation (e.g resume, cover letter, the do’s and don’ts for actor headshots, demo clips, etc). Students then study rehearsal techniques and take an in-depth look at text analysis to better understand how to spot key information needed in making concrete choices for their character(s). Scene study exercises and breaking down scenes allow the students to reflect upon, discuss and justify choices made, and in doing so helps them develop necessary analytical skills and solidify their individual acting process. This will allow them to slip seamlessly into the next stage of their development; Ongoing Scene Study.

Students will also work at sharpening their audition skills, then toward the end of the program will create a demo clip of their acting to include in their professional package. After the completion of this course, students will be prepared to submit to talent agents for film and television for representation and put what they’ve learned into action.
