On Camera Scene Study 

(4 & 8 week sessions)

Students learn script analysis techniques, emotional prep, blocking, business, story analysis, and use of voice through dialogue exercises to help learn how to breakdown scenes on their own and achieve a higher level of believability in their acting.

Classes involve being assigned a scene partner and working together to learn and develop a scene over a period of four weeks with the instructor focusing on different aspects of the scene in providing valuable feedback.

in the 4th and 8th weeks, the scene is shot for feedback about adjustments that need to be made when putting it on camera with regard to working with lighting, camera angles and close ups.

4 Week Session: Wednesdays, starting September 13th, 2023 – October 4th, 2023 (6-9pm)

4 Week Session: Wednesdays, starting October 11th, 2023 – November 1st, 2023 (6-9pm)

8 Week Session: Wednesdays, starting September 13th, 2023 – November 1st, 2023 (6-9pm)

Tuition:

4 Week – $285.71 + Tax = $300.00 (For 8 Weeks) CDN

8 Week – $476.20 + Tax = $500.00 (For 8 Weeks) CDN

Registration Information

• No Application Fee is required
• Applicants must be 17 years or older
• Must have previously completed a Certificate or Diploma program at VADA (or completion of a comparable program, deemed so by VADA’s Artistic Director).

Note: “Comparable programs of study” will be considered provided there are a minimum of 3 months of full time study in the areas of performing arts. Proof of this study will be evidenced by one of Certificate, Diploma, or Degree, copies of which will be placed in the prospective student’s file.
