Welcome to the Voice Over Training Program, an 8-class course designed to introduce and immerse students in the world of voice acting. Whether you’re interested in animation, commercials, narration, or video games, this course will provide you with the foundational skills necessary to develop a professional voice-over career.
Each class will be 3 hours long, packed with hands-on exercises, real-world examples, and feedback to hone your craft. By the end of the program, you’ll have the confidence and techniques to deliver various types of voice-over performances and a strong understanding of the industry.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the core fundamentals of voice-over acting.
- Learn essential voice techniques: breath control, articulation, and intonation.
- Develop versatility in vocal styles across different mediums (commercials, audiobooks,
animation, etc.). - Practice creating distinct characters and mastering tone adjustments.
- Explore the technical aspects of recording and producing voice-overs.
- Receive personalized feedback to improve vocal quality and delivery.

The course will be divided into eight sessions, each focusing on specific aspects of voice-over

1. Introduction to Voice Over: Industry overview, different types of voice-over work, and basic vocal warm-ups.
2. Breathing & Articulation: Learn the mechanics of voice production, breath control, and clear articulation.
3. Pitch, Tone, and Pace: Master how to use pitch variation, tone, and pacing to enhance your delivery.
4. Character Creation: Building distinct characters for animation and video games through vocal transformation.
5. Commercials & Narration: Techniques for voicing commercials, corporate narration, and audiobook storytelling.
6. Script Interpretation: Analyzing scripts, understanding copy direction, and bringing the written word to life.
7. Recording & Self-Direction: Basics of setting up a home studio, recording techniques, and self-direction.
8. Demo Prep & Industry Insight: Preparing a voice-over demo reel and navigating the
voice-over industry.
By the end of this course, you will have built a foundational understanding of voice-over acting, developed a versatile range of vocal techniques, and gained the tools to pursue voice acting professionally or as a passionate hobby.
