Youth and Teen Voice Over

Our 10-week Youth & Teen Voice Over Certificate is PERFECT for young people new to voice over acting. Classes always begin with some fun Improv activities and games to warm up vocal chords and get their creative juices flowing, after which the focus turns to skill development. Students will initially learn mic technique and Character exploration through Character Building activities to practice different sounds, pitches and voices for TV Commercials. The class then moves on to studying voices used in Animation, Cartoons and Video Game
scripts with students practicing to create fun, lovable and goofy voices for characters of different types and genres.

The course winds down with a look at Audiobooks, Narration and Storytelling skills found in popular books for youth and teens. Instructor: Jennifer Garcie After each area of voice over training is covered, students will create and receive a sample to add to their collection of voices, should they wish to pursue voice over opportunities and create a professional demo reel of their own. At the end of the course students receive information handouts they can share with parents on subjects of building their own DIY voice recording studio at home; what agents are looking for with voice over actors; and professional voice recording services available to create their own demo reel.
