I took the full-time program at Vada. It was just amazing, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve grown as an actress. Teachers are just great and super knowledgeable. My favourite part of the 6 month DAP was the Hollywood field trip!
My experience with the PDAM course so far is phenomenal. Finishing up the 6 month program and now going directly into the post program has given me a great deal of confidence in my acting and auditioning ability.
“Vada has helped me gain the skills to be confident. Now I can follow my dream and work as an actor.”
I’ve been taking the on-going camera audition classes at VADA and they are exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m a trained actor with screen experience and these classes are perfect for keeping my skills honed and pushing myself between jobs. VADA founder Simon Longmore is currently running these classes and provides a very constructive, honest viewpoint; You’ll be challenged to bring your best to every class, and I feel that my best has improved every week because of it. Without question, this is a brilliant training environment for working actors.
I have known Simon Longmore as an actor and Director of VADA for seven years. While other acting schools were becoming insolvent, VADA remained a busy, creative center, due to Simon’s ability to pass on his passion for acting and to do so with integrity. I often audition actors who have trained at VADA and they carry an air of expertise and confidence into the room, giving me confidence in Simon’s ability as a teacher. I always recommend actors continue their training, no matter at what stage they are in their career, and would not hesitate to recommend Simon and VADA.

Sept 2014 ~ Since the first day I walked into VADA, the studio had a great energy about it. All of the people I’ve met here are wonderful. What I love most is not only how much I have learned in only a month, but how professional yet friendly the environment is here at VADA. Everyone is committed to what they are learning, but over time and with getting to know each other, it has also created a very relaxed environment to be in. VADA definitely brings in a great group of people to it’s school, along with a very kind and knowledgeable faculty, and I feel as though we are all able to learn and perform to our fullest potential in a safe environment. I am very happy to have found VADA and to be able to take part in the full time program, and I look forward to continuing to learn and have new experiences of success with a great group of people.
I’ve taken both the TWI and on going scene study and can easily say they were both wonderful experiences. TWI had such a great variety of teachers, all currently in the acting industry, all giving different experiences and tips, leaving you feeling that you’ve had all your questions answered. The on going scene study has a great environment, and is taught by the founder Simon longmore who gives a very real and honest opinion, helping tune the most minute details in every scene. Overall both amazing experiences, definitely recommended.
Simon Longmore and the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts offer an impressive curriculum for the beginning as well as the professional actor. I have found my experiences with the actors at the Academy to be extremely positive. The caliber of student and the growth they have shown, as well as the opportunities to meet and work with professionals in the industry makes VADA a training facility worthy of consideration
