I took the full-time program at Vada. It was just amazing, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve grown as an actress. Teachers are just great and super knowledgeable. My favourite part of the 6 month DAP was the Hollywood field trip!
My experience with the PDAM course so far is phenomenal. Finishing up the 6 month program and now going directly into the post program has given me a great deal of confidence in my acting and auditioning ability.
“Vada has helped me gain the skills to be confident. Now I can follow my dream and work as an actor.”
02 JulI was auditioning for a low budget feature film as the part of a lawyer. Of course he was a ball-busting, slimy, stereotypical lawyer. These people feel they can come in, take a few classes and become an actor. Most of the time, they fail, but not because of lack of oppor...
May 2014 ~ Vada is really great with exposing performers to the industry by having workshops and showcases and having casting directors and agents come and see their work. The free workshops are a wonderful opportunity for financially struggling actors to meet the teachers and decide which classes are right for them! They are also very inclusive and highly motivational workshops. Both students and faculty are very friendly and the atmosphere is quite supportive overall!!
Aug 2014 ~ I have been training in the Ongoing Scene Study class at VADA for the last few months with Simon Longmore (Owner & Founder) and Kathleen Duborg. All I can say is: It has been fantastic. The instruction is of high quality, in a warm, friendly, welcoming, unpretentious way. I truly feel like an equal, a fellow creative working with other creatives in pursuit of making dreams come true. Walking into the facility gets me excited about acting. There is always an underlying buzz of passion, and the fact that you’re surrounded by actors is a huge plus. Another perk at this school is the FREE introductory workshops. Prospective students get a taste of what the classes, coaches, and student body is like without having to (apprehensively, perhaps) commit to signing up for the course. If you choose to attend VADA, you can rest assured that you are in good hands!
Oct 2014 ~ My experience at VADA has been truly wonderful. I recently took the Two Week Intensive in Oct ’14 and the teachers are extremely professional, and knowledgeable, they promote a safe place to grow and learn, and do not b.s. you about the hard work and dedication needed to pursue this path. This is an amazing community of passionate people who care about both their work and the development of their students. All of the teachers are actively working in the industry which allows you to get a good sense of what is involved and what is required of you. The people attending this school are equally amazing and you are continuously surrounded by dedicated and inspiring individuals. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this school to anyone. Amazing place!
Simon Longmore and the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts offer an impressive curriculum for the beginning as well as the professional actor. I have found my experiences with the actors at the Academy to be extremely positive. The caliber of student and the growth they have shown, as well as the opportunities to meet and work with professionals in the industry makes VADA a training facility worthy of consideration

Simons efforts and dedication over the years as both an actor and acting instructor has always been 100%. I have auditioned many of his students who have obviously benefited from his teaching.
