Dramatic Arts Program
Our Dramatic Arts Program (DAP) is a very emotional and intense six month full-time course. Its purpose is to give students a solid foundation of acting principles. It is designed to challenge actors to achieve their highest potential. Tools learned range from script analysis, character research, audition skills and scene work to improvisation, voice, movement/body, and on-camera techniques which will all be needed for your demo reel project.
“Vada has helped me gain the skills to be confident. Now I can follow my dream and work as an actor.”

Simon Longmore and the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts offer an impressive curriculum for the beginning as well as the professional actor. I have found my experiences with the actors at the Academy to be extremely positive. The caliber of student and the growth they have shown, as well as the opportunities to meet and work with professionals in the industry makes VADA a training facility worthy of consideration

Sept 2014 ~ I chose VADA because I am interested in the professional world of film and television acting. VADA combines excellence in professional training with experienced teachers who are also working professionals who understand the business as it really is. Classes are packed with relevant information that students of any background can use to get started or further their career in entertainment. The staff are all friendly and classes are small enough to develop a personal working relationship between teacher and student. VADA is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver near job opportunities, and students are encouraged to seek real work experience while attending VADA. VADA combines theory and practice to give students the best opportunity for success during their studies.
Oct 2014 ~ There is no question in my mind that it was an amazing decision to attend this school. It is two weeks in to the 6-month program I am taking. This is hard for me to believe that only that much time has passed, when I have already learned so much! I can not expressed how I blessed I feel to have found this school. I am inspired every single day there. This is the start to an incredible wonderful life changing journey. Thank you VADA!
I have had excellent experiences with Simon Longmore, as he is always courteous and professional. I have cast both him and his students in my various projects. My many years in the film industry have allowed me the opportunity to work with many talented people and I would include Simon in that group.

I was encouraged and did some acting that I never knew I could. I received great direction. I liked it so much that I am coming back for more courses! I feel very confident that through this school . . I will become by best.
